Taste Atlas released a list of the 100 most delicious seafood in the world in stages in early March 2023. This page, which contains a number of foods from various worlds, focuses on seafood or seafood that is included in the 10 list based on ratings.

Interestingly, Taste Atlas includes pempek as one of the most delicious seafood preparations in the world. This typical Palembang food ranks fourth based on the results of the assessment. Check out the Taste Atlas version of the 10 most delicious seafood foods in the world below.

Ameijoas a Bulhao Pato from Portugal

The name of this dish from Portugal is taken from the name of the poet in the 19th century, Raimundo Antonio de Bulhao Pato.

The main preparations made from shellfish are cooked using olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and fresh coriander leaves. Bread will be served as a complement to Ameijoas a Bulhao Pato.

Gambas Al Ajillo from Spain

The second most delicious seafood in the world is Gambas al ajillo. This food is an appetizer from Spain whose main ingredient is prawns, then it is cooked with stir-fried garlic, lemon juice and paprika.

This slightly soupy food will usually be combined with chopped parsley dry bread as a complementary ingredient.

Pempek ranks fourth in the list of the world’s most delicious seafood according to Taste aAtlas. Pempek is a snack that Palembang people intentionally make after they get bored with processed fish in the form of fried fish or grilled fish.

This type of pempek from Palembang is quite diverse, ranging from submarine, adaan, lenjer, chips, to skin pempek.

Espetos is a processed fish that is very popular around the Costa del Sol, especially in the Málaga region. When summer arrives, Espeto becomes a dish to drive away the hot weather.
